It's National Marine Week from 24th July to 7th August, and this 15-day event is full of activities across the UK that encourage the public to get involved in surveying and exploring the marine environment.
To mark National Marine Week, the next article in our Climate Challenges series, which looks at some of the toughest global climate crisis challenges that we are currently facing, explores the causes of ocean warming and its impacts on marine ecosystems.

This is an ideal addition to any wildlife-friendly garden. With a variety of shelter types, it offers a perfect habitat for important invertebrates such as lacewings, ladybirds, and even some butterflies. Simply hang the insect house less than two meters from the ground or place it in a sheltered position amongst vegetation and watch for the arrival of its first occupants.
